About the Program

The Omega Gents Mentoring Program is a year-long mentoring experience jointly sponsored by the Omicron Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the See It Through Charities Foundation. The program serves young men between the ages of 10 and 15, providing structured support, positive role models, and transformative learning opportunities.

Omega Gents operates on an annual cycle with two terms each year. Applications for membership are accepted and reviewed annually in April for an August start date, ensuring a thoughtful selection process and a strong beginning to each cohort.

Mentoring Mission

The mission of the Omega Gents Mentoring Program is to establish a bonded relationship with young men by offering knowledge, support, and guidance. Through consistent mentorship, the program teaches the basic principles involved in the transformation to manhood, helping each Gent grow in character, confidence, and purpose.

Program Focus  

The program focuses on four critical areas necessary for a successful transformation to manhood:

• Manhood – Building character, integrity, and personal responsibility.

• Scholarship – Encouraging academic excellence and a commitment to lifelong learning.

• Health & Wellness – Promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

• Community & Social Involvement – Inspiring service, citizenship, and positive engagement in the community.

Our goals are designed to keep each Gent at the center of the mentoring journey while leveraging the strengths every mentor.

• Focus on Gents’ interests – Align programming and activities with what matters most to the young men we serve.

• Focus on mentors’ expertise – Use the mentors’ professional and personal experiences to provide real-world insight.

• Be teachers, not preachers – Model values and life skills through example, conversation, and practical guidance.

• Develop mentors as industry coaches – Equip mentors to serve as career and industry coaches who help Gents explore future pathways.

Omega Gents Podcast

A youth-centered podcast platform where Gents develop their voices, share their perspectives, and build confidence in communication and public speaking.

First Impression Program

A program focused on grooming, attire, etiquette, and presentation skills so Gents understand the power of a strong first impression in school, work, and life.

Health, Wellness, and Technology Expo

An engaging expo that introduces Gents to health resources, wellness practices, and emerging technologies, encouraging them to care for their bodies and expand their minds.

The Etiquette Experience

A hands-on etiquette program that teaches dining etiquette, social skills, and respectful interaction, preparing Gents to move confidently in any setting.

The Thanksgiving Baskets Giveaway

Through this initiative, Gents learn the value of giving back, supporting their community, and embodying the principles of manhood, scholarship, health & wellness, and community/social involvement. The Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway not only provides essential holiday meals—it empowers our young men to make a meaningful impact.
